JOHN STARK REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL: 50
The JV Cougars came out of their first Home game of the season with a win. It wasn't pretty, it was very scrappy, but they were able to hold off John Stark in the final minutes. A big steal by Wyatt Davis and a big block by Taylor Burgess in the final minute sealed the deal. The JV Cougars spread the scoring around with 9 players putting a hoop in the bucket. Joe Hall lit a fire under the JV Cougars in the third quarter with three 3 pointers and high energy play, Taylor Burgess played a nice all around game exerting his leadership and high IQ play as well as a nice job on the boards and adding 12 points. The JV Cougars proved they could inch out a sloppy win but also know they have a lot of improvements to make before the season ends.
