The Cougars hosted Hollis-Brookline this afternoon for the OHT game. Veteran's Tom Wood and Rich Lindsay threw out the 1st pitch following Elizabeth Nute's singing of the national anthem! The Cougars gave up 4 runs in the 1st inning but were able to hold Hollis until the 5th giving up 1 run in each inning thereafter. The Cougars scored 2 runs in the 1st after a walk and a hit batter Natalia Hautanen hit a line drive double to the fence to get the 2 RBI's for the cougars. Breanna Hutchinson walked and scored on another RBI double from Hautanen in the 3rd and Hayley Cheviot scored on Shannon Allen's single up the middle. Tie game going into the 5th. The cougars started at the top of the order with a single by Sarah Dauphinais. The Hollis catcher then threw to 1st to check on Dauphinais and hit her in the helmet before the ball rolled out of play resulting in Dauphinais at 3rd base. Breanna Hutchinson hit an RBI double to plate Dauphinais. Rachyl Parslow hit a single and Hayley Cheviot hit Bre Hutchinson in. The Cougars took the 6-5 lead. In the 6th Taylor Jarest was hit by a pitch, Bre Hutchinson hit a single and Rachyl Parslow hit a 2RBI double. Final outcome a 8-7 victory for the Cougars. Jaden Hubbard-Lemay got the start on the mound going 5 innings, facing 24 batters, allowing 6 hits, 2 walks and striking out 2. Elizabeth Nute came on in relief going 2 innings facing 10 batters, allowing 5 hits.
