The JV Cougars traveled to Stevens on Friday night, improving to 8-4 on the season with a 51-40 win. Despite a lacking passion and sloppy play across the board, the Cougars were still able to go into the weekend with a victory.
Owen McGuire, in his first start of the season, shined netting 14 points, hitting 3 threes and drove the lane hard. Zach Burgess also netted 3 threes as well as converted an and-1 to finished with 12 points on the night. Joe Gutwein also had a solid effort netting 14.
The JV Cougars have a three game week ahead of them which includes a back to back on Wednesday/Thursday. The JV Cougars play at home against Kearsarge on Monday at 5 o clock with Varsity Senior Night to follow at 630.
