The Clippers from Portsmouth came to ConVal ready for a battle and we certainly gave them one!
Sophomore Jaqueline Madeja scored 24 minutes in to give us the lead going into halftime. We held that lead for 20 minutes in the second half with a total of 14 shots on goal in the game, but couldn't get past their goalie again and Portsmouth went on to win 2-1.
The defensive unit fought off 13 corners and 18 of the 20 shots on goal against us. Goalie Taylor Jarest had 12 saves while our defense was able to stop and send the other 5 shots back out onto the field.
We travel to Plymouth Tuesday and are home for our Senior game next Thursday.
