ConVal Girl’s Tennis lost to Goffstown 3-6 on Friday.  Playing before the rain started falling in Goffstown, the team split their singles lines 3-3, with sophomores Catrina Kipka and Lena LaFleur and junior Jill Karlicek winning for ConVal.  Senior Natasha Kipka lost her singles match 5-8 to Bailey Gagnon in a very long, well-played match. Several points went to rallies which were 40-50 hits back and forth, each player waiting for the other to make a mistake.

Doubles match play was equally exciting.  ConVal’s number one doubles team of Julia Peters and Natasha Kipka lost in a 7 point tie-breaker to Kelly Walsh and Bailey Gagnon, losing overall 8-9.  Catrina Kipka and Natalie LaFleur also lost a close match, losing 7-9, against Jamie Baines and Caroline Newell. Their match was filled with lots of great net play and good strategy.  Fiona Pieterse and Sandra MacKay also lost their doubles match.

The ConVal girls will be home again on Wednesday, May 9th, at 4:00 PM vs. Hollis-Brookline.
