The Cougars traveled to Pelham today to play the Pythons in a 4:15pm game. The Pythons were first to strike scoring 2 in the first and 3 in the 3rd after Shaelyn Hinton hit a 3 run homer. The Cougars did not get discouraged and in the top of the 4th they scored 7 runs to take the lead. Morgan Bemont lead-off the 4th with a single, followed by a single by Lily Mandel and Kendall Sullivan. Julielle Cabana was able to reach on an error and Mairin Burgess plated 2 on a single to left field. Samantha Henderson hit a single and Avery Moore hit an out of the park homer over the right field fence to get 3 RBI's. In the 6th, Henderson started with a double, Moore was intentionally walked, and Bemont hit them in with a double. Bemont scored on a sacrifice fly by Mandel. In the 7th, pinch hitter Olivia Riley got a single, Moore hit a single, and Bemont plated them both with a triple. The end result a 12-8 CV victory. 

    Leading the offense were Morgan Bemont 3-5 with a single, double, triple, 2 runs, and 4 RBI's. Avery Moore was 2-2 with a single and a homer, 3 runs, and 3RBI. Samantha Henderson was 2-5 with a single, double, 2 runs, and an RBI and Kendall Sullivan 2-3 with 2 singles, a run and an RBI.

    Splitting the pitching duties were Mandel and Sullivan. Mandel went 3 innings, facing 17 batters, allowing 5 runs on 8 hits, 0 walks and struck out 2. Sullivan pitched 4 innings, facing 19 batters, allowing 3 runs on 2 hits, 5 walks, and striking out 9.
