The Cougars started the day on Friday with a quick celebration and recognition of both teams' seniors. The team then took the field facing the undefeated Sabers of Souhegan. The Cougars put the pressure on, and played a great 1st quarter. Although the Sabers got on the board later in the 1st quarter, the Cougars did not let up. Seniors Makennah McPherson-Carland, Abbey Shumway, Allie Hodgen, Hayden Kaltsas and Laramie Wilson each had shots on goal for the Cougars during the game. The Sabers had a strong 3rd quarter and ConVal's senior goalie Lydia Cleveland made a total of 23 saves on the day. With today's game, Lydia has made over 200 saves for the season thus far! Late in the 4th quarter, senior Makennah McPherson-Carland was able to take advantage of an offensive opportunity and scored the lone goal for ConVal. The Sabers defeated the Cougars 6-1. The Cougars travel to Hanover for their next game on Tuesday. 

The JV then took the field and had yet another back and forth battle. Although sophomore Elsa Hubbard-Lemay had the lone shot for the Cougars, and sophomore goalie Ronia Foecking made 7 saves, the Sabers came out on top 1-0.
