Griffins Win over Sanborn-Epping

Griffins with a 6-0 win over Sanborn-Epping. After a slow start in the first two periods, the Griffins came out firing on all cylinders in the third period, with Cole Turner notching his first shut out of the season.

Evan Turner (Hat trick and and an assist) started the scoring in the first period with an unassisted goal. Quinn Mose potted one in the second unassisted as well. Despite playing solid hockey for the first two periods, the Griffins were not able to capitalize. Then came the third period. Logan Favart, who took a huge hit and was injured in the Wednesday night game against Stark, buried one with help from Braden Crisp. Then it was Turner with two more, first assisted by Aidan King and Favart; and then a tip on a shot from Elias Niemela. Mason Devost capped the scoring with assists from Turner and Niemela.

Penalties were high on both sides, and play was physical. A shout out to first year player John Oakes who, in the last minute of the game, took a huge hit from a Sanborn player, but jumped right back up and got back into the play.
