Tonight the Cougar Volleyball team took the floor in pink uniforms in support of cancer. Manchester West, the opponent, was in great spirits and participated in creating a list of those people that have influenced them in someway that have been affected by cancer. The mood in the gym was upbeat and excited! As the Cougars took the floor they were energized and from the first serve they came ready to play. The Cougars won the game 3 sets to 0 sets but Manchester West fought hard to keep the ball in play. The set scores were 25-12, 25-20, and 25-16. Leading the Cougar offense tonight was sophomore Hannah LeComte. LeComte had 5 kills, 3 aces, and 4 assists. Seniors Savannah Kersbergen had 4 kills and Nadia Kazlauskas had 3.Junior Molly Cole  had 3 kills as well. Haley Davis had 6 aces on the evening, Nadia Kazlauskas had 3, and Isis Battaglia had 2. Molly Cole led the team in assists with 6. The defense worked really hard to cover the deep passes and to have successful serve receives. Haley Davis had 6 digs on the night and Cole Ahern had 7 digs. The Cougars fought tough, stayed upbeat, and are very excited to have captured their first win of the season!
