The Cougars traveled to Laconia in a tough battle between the Sachems and the Cougars. The Cougars came out flat falling behind 0-5 to start the first set. It seemed like it would be all Laconia as the score went to 11-20 but Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy served 8 points to put the Cougars into potential range. Unfortunately, the Cougars couldn't catch up and the Sachems took the first set 19-25. The Cougars persevered in the 2nd and 3rd sets with scores of 25-17 and 25-20 respectively. The 4th set started and the Cougars once again fell behind but they clawed their way back and kept fighting. A close battle back and forth for every point caused fans to be on the edge of their seats as the set continued into extra points and...a Cougar victory 29-27!

   Leading the Cougars was Ivy Armstrong-McEvoy with 13 aces, 12 kills, 4 blocks and 14 digs. Emma Rodenhiser added 2 aces, 10 kills, 4 blocks, and 9 digs. Zadie Marshall added 3 aces, 5 kills, 17 assists and 17 digs and Aria Laurent had 2 aces and 14 assists. Brynn Frosch had 7 aces, 6 kills, and 10 digs, while Ashlynn Williams had 2 kills, 5 assists, and 5 digs. Makaela Drummond had a pair of kills. 

The Cougars move to 7-2 on the season and will travel to Hanover on Friday 9/29.
